children

For most people, simply being born is the most traumatic experience we will ever go through. This is especially true if, when you were born the physician used forceps, vacuum extraction, or were a C-section baby. Chiropractic for children is proven to be especially safe and effective. The newborns spine is so delicate and fragile that often times during delivery, traumas occur (either major or minor). It is for this reason that it is immensely important to have your childs spine checked for Vertebral Subluxations as soon after delivery as possible. Our two daughters (pictured above) have had their spines checked regularly since birth.
As we always say at Lee Chiropractic Center... "We tailor the adjustment to fit the individual." This could not be any more true than for children. Children do not have the years of trauma and neglect that so many people face today, as they are not old enough to have neglected their health yet. We use extremely gentle and time proven techniques to adjust each child. Once the interference to their nervous system has been removed, their body works the way it was designed.
When a child is left unchecked, these minor misalignments entrench themselves to become major problems later in life. From that moment on, they will spiral downward into a declining state of Dis-ease, resulting in numerous symptoms later in life. If enough symptoms are present they may be lumped together and given a name (disease). We pride ourselves in the fact that everyone is taken care of as if they were our family, especially the children. In fact that is what you become... a part of our family. We treat the child with dignity and respect, and ask the child for their permission to adjust them on each visit, regardless of their age.
We find that it is important to see a child at the critical stages in their development; when they begin to hold their head up, push up on their own, sit up, roll over, begin to crawl, stand, and learn to walk. These are times when the spine undergoes major changes, and we make sure that they progress through these stages better equipped that their subluxated counterparts. It is something that we will always cherish. It would be an honor to be your family Chiropractor. Call to schedule yours and your childs first visit, and be on your way to a better life. We make certain that our care is affordable by having family plans for those who are not covered by insurance.
FACT #1
How many of you know or heard of crib death?
The University of Colorado, published a report on Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. They performed autopsies on 136 infants that died of crib death. All 136 infants had a subluxation applying pressure to the nerve that leads to the lungs. As a result of this report, the University of North Carolina and Medical School has been granted Government funding to study crib death. On the research team are five (5) Doctors of Chiropractic and five (5) Medical Doctors.
FACT #2
The Unversity of New York, with Dr. Lee Hadley published a report on death by organ disease. Autopies were performed on 168 cadavers, that had died of different organ diseases (heart, pancreas, kidney, prostate, etc.) of the 168 deaths, 167 had a subluxation applying pressure to the nerve that leads to the organ.
FACT #3
Health, Welfare and Education Department published a report that 52% of all first graders will have one of the two types of scoliosis and only 2% will be detected through school screenings
FACT #4
Health, Welfare and Education Department also published a report that 95% of all first graders will have at least one Subluxation upon entering school. The number one cause of Subluxation in children is child birth.
It takes 40 to 60 pounds of pressure for the infant to be forced through the birth canal. And 110 pounds of pressure for the doctor to be able to remove the infant from the birth canal. It only takes 130 pounds of pressure to dislocate the head. So, when you hear people say "I was born with sinus trouble, allergies, asthma, headaches, colic, ear problems..." they are right. As it did happen at birth.
